Homebrew Burrowbird Species Details

The Burrowbird is a race that is almost extinct. They tend to keep hidden from the rest of the world but there are a few who venture out. As such, no one really understands them and how they are able to do what they do. They are, in essentia, an enigma. A leading theory is that Burrowbirds exist between multiple planes, sometimes within the same moment.

You know Common, Celestial, Auran, and 3 other languages. Your ability scores are all increased by +2. 

The Burrowbird race gives you proficiency in Perception,  Deception, and Acrobatics. You also gain Expertise in Persuasion. This is in addition to any proficiencies gained from Class features and/or backgrounds.

 You also have Darkvision of 80 ft and Blindsight of 100 ft

 Because of your ability to burrow, you have an instinctual knowledge of how to be stealthy. You have Expertise in Stealth

The average size of most Burrowbirds is Small, but a few are Medium. Your stature is similar to that of the Aarakockra in that you are multipedal. You can sand on your two legs, but you also have front appendages for when you burrow, and of course wings.

Most Burrowbirds live underground and as such, age is unknown.

Most Burrowbirds don't care to align themselves one way or another, but the more adventurous ones tend to skew to the extremes. 
The trend is Spellcasters tend to go in the chaotic/evil direction and Non-Spellcasters tend to go the opposite way.

Though they can walk, Burrowbirds prefer to either tunnel underground or fly in the air. Because they don't walk to often, Walking speed is 15 feet. Due to simple physics, the Flying speed is 40 feet which is slightly faster than the Burrowing speed at 35 feet.
