Homebrew Coyoxi Species Details
A coyoxi wandered through town once with a broken leg. She stayed a few nights at the inn, but mainly kept her distance. We thought she was a recluse, but on her last night here, a dozen of her kind came and showered our town in gifts for treating her with kindness.
Coyoxi are a race of canine like humanoids, they come from deserts and live in packs. These tribes are tight knit, with everyone knowing everyone. Coyoxi are loyal to whoever they consider part of their pack, but generally skittish towards new people, despite this they are easy to befriend.
Nomads
Coyoxi generally wander in family based packs, constantly being pushed from one place to another by people mistaking them for lycanthropes and wild feral beasts. Coyoxi who live a life of wandering is usually lean and scrappy looking. Nomadic coyoxi are uncomfortable by large settlements, and find Artisan coyoxi foolish for giving up their freedom
Artisan
While it's more common for coyoxi to prefer a life of freedom, some live a life of wealth and civility, they have an easier time gaining the trust of humans, but find themselves less satisficed, constantly suppressing their wild nature. These coyoxi are often well kempt and stockier. Artisan coyoxi disprove of nomadic coyoxi, and feel those who live in the wild should try to intergrade into society.

Coyoxi Personality & Alignment
Coyoxi are loyal to their group, and will usually share their interests; if they come from a clan of thieves, they will likely be thieves, if they come from a group of socialites, they will likely be socialites. Coyoxi can be good, evil, or neutral, but usually lean to one side; same goes for lawful/chaotic but to a higher degree of lean.
Coyoxi are generally wise when it comes to survival, and are swift to spot danger, and can quickly solve puzzling situations. However, their wiseness can go to their head, and lead to headfirst overly ambitious decisions. This is less of a problem for more average well rounded coyoxi.
