Homebrew Beastkin Fox Species Details
While rare to be seen on the material plane, the Beastkin are a common race found wandering the forests of the Feywild and live in large communities within the forests. Made up of many anthropomorphic races, the Beastkin vary in shape and size and are generally welcoming to other races, but are fierce fighters when they need to defend their homes.
Beastkin Fox Traits
The Beastkin foxes are swift, silent and quick thinkers. They are cunning, sly, and like to trick other to do as they wish.Ability Score Increase
One ability score of your choice increases by 2, and one ability score increases by 1. Alternatively, you may increase three ability scores by 1.
Age
Beastkin age at the same rate as humans, maturing around the age of 18 and living close to 100 years.
Size
Beastkin on average mirror humans, appearing between 5 and 6 feet tall. Your size is medium.
Speed
You have a walking speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision
Due to Beastkin having excellent night vision, you can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Cunning Mind
Your silver tongue is well trained and you have learned to talk your way out of situations. You have proficiency in the skills Deception and Sleight of Hand.
Natural Weapons
As a Beastkin, you are able to use your teeth and claws as melee attacks as well as normal unarmed strikes. Your teeth deal 1d6 piercing damage while your claws deal 1d4 slashing damage. You may add your strength modifier to the damage rolls.
Fey Ancestery
Do to your Feywild origins, your creature type is considered Fey and can be affected by all spells that target Fey beings. You have advantage on Saving Throws against being Charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Animal Instincts
Your animal nature gives you the prime advantage in the wilds. You proficient in Survival. Unfortunately you are affected by spells such as Dominate Beast.
