Homebrew Athasian Elf Species Details
"Never trust an elf."
- The Wanderer's JournalMost elves rarely stay one place long. They have a culture of roaming the desert, in search of treasure or trinkets, ferrying merchandise from city-state to city-state to sell their wares. Many elven goods are cheap baubles of little worth, or were stolen from their rightful owners. Still, elves have aknack for being in the right place at the right time to peddle their stock, and even the most officious templar appreciates the selection of goods in the Elven Market.
Athasian Elf Traits
Your elf character has a variety of natural abilities, the result of thousands of years of elven refinement.Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age
Elves mature at about the same rate as humans, and can live up to about 150 years.
Size
Elves often sport tall, wiry builds, with an average height of just under 6 feet. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 40 feet.
Dim Light Vision
You have superior vision in dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light. You have no unique ability to see in the darkness.
Keen Senses
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fleet Footed
Little impedes your swift movement. You ignore the penalties of movement through nonmagical difficult terrain. Additionally, you can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns.
Cheap Trick
As an action on your turn, you can distract foes around you. Until the end of your next turn, your allies gain advantage on attack rolls against enemies within 10 feet of you that can see you. Additionally, creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks during this time. Once a creature has seen you perform Cheap Trick, they can't be affected by the feature for 24 hours.
Languages
You can speak, but not read or write, Common and Elvish. There is an Elvish script, but it is used by a rare few, such as tribal elders or some elven bards.
