Homebrew Canid Species Details
"Happiness is a warm puppy."
―
Canids, sometimes referred to as Dog-folk, resemble a cross between a variety of dog breeds or wolves and humans. Most have the bodies of a human with the head of dog. From a distance, they are often mistaken for a werewolf.
Pack Creatures
Though some prefer to remain their homeland in Maztica, hunting, crafting and trading, there are many Canid that now roam the entire continent, going wherever friendship and loyalty take them. Often they will adopt members of other races into their clans. it is not uncommon for the youngest of clans to venture out into the world to create their own clans and families, but they never forget their home. They form sizable clans, and are fiercely protective of those they consider family. Becoming a friend with a member of this race is earning a friend for life.
Charismatic and Cuddly
Most Canid are extremely friendly. They see little point in conflict when there is ample opportunity to make friends, rather than enemies. With their generally outgoing and hyper disposition, not to mention their adorable puppy-dog eyes, it unsurprising that these dog-like humanoids are a preferred member of any group.
