Homebrew Boggart Species Details

Boggarts are household spirits that link to a certain person, family, or place. Boggarts are malevolent tricksters that wreak havoc on the thing that they are linked to. They spoil food and milk, pull the sheets off of beds during the night, and moving things while no one is looking. They are usually quite short and hairy. They have very long arms and claw like fingers. It is known that salt burns the skin of a boggart, and that a boggart cannot pass across a doorway lined with salt. They take the utmost joy in mischief and trickery.

Boggart Names

Boggarts must never reveal their names. If Boggarts are named, they become all-powerful and destroy themselves in an implosion of dark faerie energy. They carry the name of family, person, or place that they are linked to. If they have no household, they go by nicknames given to them by their companions and family. 

Size

A fully grown boggart can be to up to 5 feet. Your size is medium.

A boggart's tricks are for their entertainment, but they also like to have an audience. You can cast the spell Hideous Laughter once per short rest without expending a spell slot.
