You do not regain Hit Dice over the course of a long rest. Instead, you must salvage flesh and appendages from your fallen foes. During a short rest, you may restitch your body, replacing any broken and unusable parts with your salvaged flesh components. For each component you use during a short rest, you regain two Hit Die of hit points.

Your beliefs, lack of empathy, and the teachings of your master have made you desire flesh and conflict, but make you protect those who seen like worth opponents.

You can live for thousands of years as long as you replace you flesh but if you get killed or forget to eat you die
