Homebrew Crafted Metallic Guardians Species Details

Before, just a lifeless, motionless statue of a deity or hero from ages ago. Until something awoken or rather drove you to move. Being given a magically crafted soul, whether it be from the lives of beasts, warriors, peasants, or royals, their souls were forged together to craft an eternal energy source capable of moving your gargantuan size. With little knowledge of the world, you follow the first order given to you, usually by the gifter of the magical soul, until the end of time.

Loyal Guardians

After being tasked with their life goal, they will do everything they deem correct to make sure that goal is complete. If a guardian's goal is completed they will rest until their goal is disturbed or needs correcting.

Repairs

Instead of healing normally, Metallic Guardians heal by absorbing magic (healing spells will work to restore hit points) or absorbing metal from weapons, armor, structures, or the ground around them (can store metal in inventory, to restore health roll hit dc for weapons/ use ac for armor/ roll 1d4 per level for structure or ground).

Guardian Names

Every guardian creates a name based on what kind of souls were used for their soul. If it's human souls then it chooses a human name, an elf makes an elf’s name, and for beasts the guardian chooses a name from the forest or with meaning towards the forest or wherever the souls originated from.

Beast Example Names: Dasos (forest), Kapros (boar), Kahif (cave), etc.

Crafted Metallic Guardians Traits

Metallic Guardians have little in common with others of the same race, since the statues of heroes or deity's will unlikely be the same

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.

Armor Class Increase

The soul imbued metal of guardians is stronger than normal metal, increasing your armor class by 3 but not allowing you to wear armor.

Age

Metallic Guardians can live for eternity unless their body is too damaged or their crafted souls break.

Size

Guardians are usually between 20 and 30 feet tall and weigh between 400 and 600. Your size is Gargantuan.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Stone’s Endurance

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Metal Born

You have resistance to cold damage. You have vulnerability to fire damage. You’re also acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.
