Homebrew Tree Ent Species Details
"Their punches can crumple iron like tin, and they can tear apart solid rock like bread crusts."
The Tree Ents were blessed by Silvanus the God and Father of Nature. Tree Ents were originally just trees but then Silvanus brought a few from every orchard to life to protect the rest of the trees. The Tree Ents are smaller then the trees so that they can protect properly they are able to feel pain and emotions most people haven't met tree Ents in the wild but they know about them. Now that people know more about Ents they have stopped mass chopping the forests so the Ents must find a new meaning of life besides protection. Built as weapons, they must now find a purpose beyond war. When the Tree Ents die they become normal trees and loose all other features.
Living Wood
Tree Ents are made up of organic materials and Divine Magic. Their faces are carvings within the tree that they once were before and their muscles are pure hard wood with blood of sap and water. Beyond these common elements of design, the precise materials and Magic imbued within the Ents vary based on the purpose for which it was designed.
Tree Ent Personality
The tree ents were built to protect and to observe. For most of their existence, tree ents had a clearly defined function and were encouraged to focus purely on that role. Their protection of the forests allowed for them to then have freedom after people found out about them, but many still struggle both to find a place in the post-war world and to relate to other creatures within the world.
The typical tree ent shows little emotion. Many tree ents embrace a concrete purpose — such as protecting allies, completing a contract, or exploring a land — and embrace this task as they were created for. However, there are tree ents who have tried to delight in exploring their feelings, their freedom, and their relationships with others. Most Tree Ents have no interest in religion besides worshiping Silvanus the God of Nature, but some embrace other faith and mysticism, seeking higher purpose and deeper meaning.
The typical tree ent has a sexless body shape. Some tree ents ignore the concept of gender entirely, while others adopt a gender identity.
A lot of tree ents look up to the first ever created tree ent known as TreeBeard.
