Homebrew Apis (Bees) Species Details
Fuzzy and kind
Apises are always covered in soft fur which makes them very cuddly and protects them from the harsh winter weather. They have a kind nature and a good heart and are always willing to open themselves up to any stranger who approaches them. Those who are close to any Apises know that they are always kind, sweet and ready for adventure!
The good die old
Despite their human counterparts Apises usually live to the ripe old age of....never, because of their incredible healing honey they never die and stay at the age of around 20-30 in human years forever unless they are without a source of honey in which case they feel incredible pain and die. I know, very sad.
Seasonal change
Apises change their wing, fur and eye colour every season, for example in winter, white fur, piercing blue eyes and wings the colour of ice. People believe that that evolved to do this to disguise themselves from the aforementioned 'greedy humans'. For the rest of the seasons, during autumn their fur goes to the same traditional yellow that normal bees adopt, their eyes go pumpkin-orange and their wings mimic the tumbling leaves. In Spring their eyes are a pale, pastel yellow, their fur goes a pale yellow-y green and their wings are see-through and tinged with light green. For Summer their eyes go a dark pink, their wings resemble flower petals and their fur is a white green.
Apis (Bees) Traits
