Homebrew Bearfolk Species Details
Solitary yet loyal people. Bearfolk can be extremely territorial with clans laying claim to large plots of land. While others are nomadic and often work as freelancers. They are usually stoic and intimidating. Quite often come off as antisocial though they can form strong bonds and have a protective nature.
Bearfolk Traits

Mountain Born
You have resistance to cold damage. You’re also acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.
Keen Smell
You advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Darkvision
Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Protective Instinct
As a reaction you may redirect an attack made on a creature within 5ft. of yourself to yourself. If you redirect before the attack hits it must meet your AC. If you redirect after the attack hits, it automatically hits.
Ability Score Increase
Increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1.
