Homebrew Zusade Species Details

An experimental mutation between domesticated house pets and humans, Zusade's are clever and share the features of the animal they're crossed with. Usually only crossed with one animal, they have the body of a human, and key features of the cats breed their crossed with. The most common is a humanoid cat. what they all have in common are the human body and human limbs. Mistreated and abused, they prefer to live underground and hide from the world.

Tree Tall, Work Small 

The Zusade are slim creatures by nature, ranging from 6-9 feet in height. They tend to use this height to their advantage relying on their long limbs to climb away from danger on notice. Usually, not on the muscular side, they use other methods than force to achieve their goals, such as seducing and persuading others to do the work for them. They all share one characteristic, having the ears of the cat instead of human ones, and having the tail of the cat's breed, providing benefits as well as drawbacks. Having human-toned skin, they sometimes will grow more of the cat's features as they mature, and some will turn into a cat itself, though it is very rare.

 

Lazy as a Ladybug.

The Zusade's usually falls toward the 'do it for me' category when it comes personality-wise. It tends to slack off and try to persuade others to do its work, rather than doing it itself. Often sassy, rude, and blind to others' feelings, it will consider even its family expendable if it's in a pickle. Very rarely, will one have a good heart and protect those it cares about. usually, all that matters to it is staying alive, and sleeping away days, and will very rarely move around.

 

Mistreated Performer

Nothing proves more difficult to these creatures than to fight with physical contact. It is universal for this creature to scan the area around it for ways to escape the scene at a moment's notice. That is why you can find these creatures always most of the time. Even though they're half-human, they are universally treated as pets and 'toys' despite having feelings and emotions and the ability to speak. That's why they prefer to hide, and they aren't seen often, if at all. They are usually held captive and are forced to perform for their captors.

 

Names.

It is very rare to see any gender-neutral names, and a name to begin with. gemstones are used most commonly for those who are held captive against their will. Amber, Emerald, Topaz, Bloodstone, Diamond, Etc.
