Homebrew Chtapodi Species Details
As old as the gods themselves, the chtapodi have existed peacefully beneath the waves. They have seen our world develop and humans evolve. Upon realizing the power that humans had developed, the chtapodi themselves adapted to the surface. Initially, it was to trade with the land-dwelling races, but now it is often to go to war. They have seen the destruction that humanity has wrought, the destruction of the environment both terrestrial and below the surface of the world's oceans. They have taken it upon themselves to be ambassadors and protectors of the natural world.
Many chtapodi become druids because of their connection to nature. They also have clerics who worship a god that our tongue cannot pronounce. A god who is unknown on the surface but holds immense control over all aspects of our world.
