Homebrew Ashiens Species Details

A long time ago, when the demi-god Izanagi fell, the god Hikari despaired, seeing the only thing he had left of his mortal life taken from him.. his other friends who had became gods had died.. and from this tragedy, The Sword Isles was born, Hikari turned Izanagi's blade into a continent, and with it came new races.

 

Stronger Then Most

Most Ashiens can be confused for humans, and they recognize this.. however once you fight one, you can easily tell the difference between how a human and an Ashien fights, Ashiens tend to use whatever they can to win.

 

Born From Tragedies 

The first Ashiens were created when Hikari saw pity on the slaves and gladiators that worked so hard for nothing.. and so he bestowed upon them freedom and enhanced strength.

Ashiens as former gladiators know all about making a comeback, as an Ashien when an enemy misses a melee attack against you, you can use your reaction to punch them 10ft + STR mod away!

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Ashiens typically learn the languages of other peoples they deal with, including obscure dialects. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Orc curses, Elvish musical expressions, Dwarvish military phrases, and so on.
