Homebrew Arakun Species Details
"The evil wizard Anaxis, in an attempt to take over the Kingdom of Eshia, turned King Harrold and all of the subjects in the castle into humanoid raccoons and then used them as slaves in the nitratine mines."
-Lash Quizzle, Arakunian Historian
A Place in the World
Arakun occupy an uneasy place in a dangerous world, and they react by lashing out at any creatures they believe they can bully. Cunning in battle and cruel in victory, arakun are fierce and feisty. They are great scavengers and can find food anywhere. Their constitution gives them the ability to consume items of food that would make others ill.
Status Symbols
Arakun love symbols of authority, and as such, leader's of each gaze have such trappings wherever they go. Such a symbol can take a typical form, perhaps a crown or a throne, but also can be a more distinctive objects such as a dazzling staff or colorful boots. Members of each gaze also adopt symbols to indicate membership or kinship, but the symbols used are rarely the same between different gazes and often make little sense to other creatures. Some possible status symbols are given in the Status Symbols table. A gaze or a leader might display more than one of these items.

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
