“What is it they say?” he asked. “One’s a curiosity, two’s a conspiracy—”

“Three’s a curse,” she finished. “You think I haven’t heard that rubbish before?”

“I know you have.” When she glared at him, he added, “It’s not as if I’m plumbing the depths of your mind, dear girl. That is the burden of every tiefling. Some break under it, some make it the millstone around their neck, some revel in it.” He tilted his head again, scrutinizing her, with that wicked glint in his eyes. “You fight it, don’t you? Like a little wildcat, I wager. Every little jab and comment just sharpens your claws.”

Wings and Horns

The Feywild is home to many fantastic peoples, including fairies. Fairies are a wee folk, but not
nearly as much so as their pixie and sprite friends. The first fairies spoke Elvish, Goblin, or Sylvan, and encounters with human visitors prompted many of them to learn Common as well.

Infused with the magic of the Feywild and the demon-esque qualities that characterize the tiefling race, Feytouched Tieflings look like smaller, elven tieflings sporting a pair of insectile wings and goat horns. Although already incredibly unique and completely different from any other race seen in the Feywild, each tiefling has a special physical characteristic that sets them apart from one another. For your tiefling, roll on the Fey Characteristics table or choose an option from it. You're also free to come up with your characteristic if none of the suggestions below fit your character.

Fey Bloodline

Because of your Fey heritage, your physical attributes might differ from that of other tieflings. You may choose to have 1d4+1 of the following features: instead of horns you have antlers sprouting from your head; copper, bronze, green, bluish-white, or white skin; you have patches of tree bark grown over parts of your body; goat-like legs; cloven hooves; fangs or sharp teeth; long, pointed ears; small, slender build.

Tiefling Fairy Traits

When you choose this subrace, you may choose the following features to replace the original tiefling racial traits: Inherently Keen, Winter Court Resistance, and one of Frost Prince's Bloodline, Half-Elven Hellborn, or Faerie Flight. Additionally, you speak, read, and write Common, Infernal and your choice of either Elvish or Sylvan.

Fairy Magic

• You know the Druidcraft cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the Faerie Fire spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the Enlarge/Reduce spell with this trait. Once you cast Faerie Fire or Enlarge/Reduce with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).

 

Flight

You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover. This flight is magical and does not require the use of your wings (if you have them).

Fey Ancestry

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Ability Score Increase

Your intelligence and dexterity score increases by 1, plus one ability score of your choice.

 

Age

Feytouched tieflings mature much slower than both humans and regular tieflings, reaching maturity at 60 and living up to a century.

Size

Feytouched tieflings are typically 3-4 feet tall and weigh 40-60 pounds. You are small to medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet and your base flying speed is 25 feet.

Darkvision

Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Hellish Resistance

You have resistance to fire damage.

Infernal Legacy

You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common, Infernal, and one other language deemed appropriate by the DM.
