Homebrew Cailand (UNFINISHED) Species Details

Please note that this is all made by a literal child with no experience in DnD, I was bored and stumbled upon this website and decided "You Know, I wanna do something. I'm gonna make a whole Race." So, If you want you can tell me things that are too OP, Complex, Downright stupid, Literally anything. So, have fun watching me be an idiot!

 Intro

Cailands are fast and nimble creatures, Usually gray to match the rocky hills where they live. These creatures almost always match the enviroment they were born in. Their flight skills are impressive for their small size, about 1 foot tall. They have +1 to both Dexterity and Intelligence. Due to their size they can easily hide among larger creatures and not be noticed. Though if in a collection they can distract and do a good bit of damage. They mainly speak their own language called Agidru, a form of speaking through vibrations through the earth so all of their kind can feel it. but they do know common and a small amount of draconic. They have two main groups, SerratedClaws and SmoothControl. You also have a Stamina Gauge, for your flight ability. It can be made with one of those circle angle things and a paperclip. I'll write that later.

SerratedClaws

SerratedClaws are fighters, and earn their way with fighting.  They hone their claws, as well as teeth. They also train in combat regularly, so If your character is part of the SerratedClaws, Make sure each day they at least attack a nearby object, such as rocks, trees, weapons, literally any non-living thing, just make sure they don't break it if it's needed. They gain another +1 to their Dexterity, but a -1 to charisma, due to their violent tendencies, if they're a SerratedClaw. SerratedClaws tend to steal from other races, and are keen on defending it. So they tend to fall along the Chaotic alignment. Although every now and then they're more peaceful. These ones are called SilentClaws, they tend to be a good omen of peace. All SerratedClaws gain the trait  'Unsheathing Your Bones'.

SmoothControl

A SmoothControl can be easy to be persuaded by since they earn their way with talking. They take multiple manipulating and persuading classes, and they train regularly. So add that to your character. They usually do this by chatting with a PC or NPC at random times. They sometimes persuade them to do something random such as getting them a glass of water or throwing a rock. Just know that they can't Persuade people who speak a language they don't speak, or any literal animals. You gain a +1 to Intelligence

Ability Score Increase

As stated Earlier, You gain +1 to Dexterity and Intelligence, And gain another +1 to it

Age

The general age of maturity is 9 years. they generally live to about 90 years.

Size

Tiny, Since Cailands are only 1 Foot tall.

Speed

Your speed walking is at a 35, And your Flying speed is at a 45. Your Stamina Gauge drops 10 each time you fly. It only restocks after 2 Ingame days.

Languages

As I stated Earlier, You know Common and Draconic, But if a SmoothControl, you gain a extra language of your choice.

How to Make a Stamina Gauge

You'll need a circle angle measuring thing, A Marker, Paint, And a pencil. First you paint the Circle Angle Thingy any color, Then you number it with a marker 100 to 0, by 10s. Then you use a pencil sideways to measure your stamina. Each time you fly, subtract 10 from your Stamina Gauge.

Cailand (UNFINISHED) Traits

They can do anything a canine can do. But they have the minds of a cat. So you should see the possibilites here.

Broad Claws

Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. 1 Point

Blindsight

Cailands have the radius around 45 feet, in a square around the character. This allows the Cailand to sense attackers before everyone else. {Unless they have more advanced Blindsight} A Cailand will either hear or smell the creature, due to it's doglike nose and batlike ears.

Small = Unseen

Causes you to be Invisible for a few rounds every now and then. If needed, Call for attention. This ability is able to be turned on for 2 rounds, disguising you from everyone in the party and the enemies. Useful for sneak attacking enemies and good for games that require stealth.
