Homebrew Awakened Crab Species Details
Literally a crab. Crabs have large pincers for hands and eye stalks on their heads. A thick carapace covers their back.
You were once a simple crab, doing simple crab things. And then, a magic caster came along and gave you sentience with the Awaken spell. Now you explore the world, trying to find your purpose.
Awakened Crab Traits
Crabs have the following racial traits:Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Constitution score by 1.
Age
Crabs mature quickly and can live up to 100 years but rarely do so.
Size
Between 2 and 3 feet tall and weigh between 25 and 35 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet. You have a swimming speed of 30 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Aquan.
Carapace
You are covered by a thick shell. You gain a +1 bonus to AC when you’re not wearing heavy armour.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Underwater Adaptation
You can breathe air and water, and you gain a swim speed equal to your walking speed.
