Homebrew Displacer Species Details
Originally enslaved by the unseely court, displacer beast were thought to be no better than a pet or a guard. When the displacers managed to escape the court, they roamed the land causing chaos wherever they went. After they left captivity, blink dogs were sent out to track and drive the beast out of the Fey wild and into the material plane. As displacer‘s began to appear outside of the Feywild, they began to learn from the other races they encountered. It became clear their intelligence have been vastly underestimated by their captors.
Although a large number of them still hold a large amount of anger and resentment from years of being mistreated, many displacers have found their own path and can be found in any alignment, however, most lean chaotic.
Displacers are a feline like race, usually covered in bluish-black fur, though reports of some showing markings and other dark colors have been heard. Overtime, they have begun to adapt to a more upright way of walking, however it is very tiresome for them still and most choose to walk on all fours. When they do walk upright, it is usually with a hunched over stance. All have 6 legs, or two legs and 4 arms if standing upright. The have two large tentacles on their backs that they use as conduits for their Illusion Magic.
