Homebrew Ariok Species Details

 

Arioks are savage, territorial creatures who would rule the mountaintops of Skyvound if it weren't for the dwarves and trolls.

Horns and Hooves

The Ariok are a spindly people with coarse fur ranging from white, gray, and black.  Their feet end in hoovers which somehow stick to mountainsides.  Their heads are adorned with curved, thick, spiral horns.

Ariok are fiercely territorial creatures battling for land with dwarves, trolls, mountain giants, and other Arioks.  

Clans

Ariok are made up of several clans with a Patriarch known as a Grim as their head.  

 

 

Ariok Traits

Arioks have the following traits.

Mountain Master

Ariok's get Advantage on Acrobatics and Athletics when on mountainous terrain.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.

Size

Arioks average over 5 feet in height, and they have stocky builds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Horns

Your horns are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Ariok.
