Homebrew Discordian Species Details

Men of Discord

There was once a wandering tribe of Humans known as the "Adminder Tribe". They were often dismissed as a caravan of fools, for their strange ways of viewing life. Their conversations ranged from small and meaningless to absurd and concerning. One day, they will talk about how their days have been, then a minute later they'll try and conspirize ways to overthrow the tribe leader with a burning bundle of hay. One day, this tribe just... vanished. No signs of them anywhere. They all went missing for half a decade, until they suddenly came back under the new name, the "Discordian Tribe". When asked for their out of nowhere disappearance, they all say something about a different dimension, but refuse to elaborate.

It did not take long for these Discordians to reveal some interesting powers. At first, it was as simple as them using "Disguise Self" to pretend or sneak into areas they shouldn't. But, a much more interesting power was their telepathy. People started to notice that these Discordians could talk to each other, without speaking or even looking at each other. These Discordians were questioned even further, but still none spoke a word about where they discovered the power.

Discordians still are not often accepted in society, often being called "Freak-Humans" for keeping so many secrets. However, they aren't very distinguishable to Humans in the physical appearance area.

Discordian Traits

Discordians are a race, relative to humans, who have discovered a mystical power from a magical artifact they call "The Tablet of Discord". These powers allow them to change their appearance and even connect to the minds of allies for easy access telepathy.

Telepathic Speak

Discordians can connect to the minds of one or more willing people allowing for telepathic conversations. As an action, you can DM, or directly message, one person anytime you want, as long as both participants are capacitated. On the other hand, you can spend one point (three per short rest) to activate a temporary GC, or Group Chat, where more than one willing person can enter and communicate (1 + Intelligence Score). The Group Chat ends once the leading Discordian uses an action to disconnect from the minds of the other participants, or when a member of the GC becomes incapacitated.
