Homebrew Android Species Details

Androids. Synths. Robots. Animatronics. Many names same concept. They are a creation of the war. It is unknown where they come from and why have they been created. What is for sure though, they are here and they are adapting to their "lives." Many rumors surround their existence. One of them being that they have come to replace humans to get intel...but that is bizzare.

Man made man

1st gen- Instead of a head they sport a skull shaped metal like cover and their arms and legs looks like an exoskeleton rather than actual limbs. They have visible wiring.

2nd gen- While more humanoid they still have quite bit of differences. Their skin is merely an illusion hiding a nude/white base under thats clearly metal and plastic. They are weakened by water.

3rd gen- Unrecognizable from a human. Their shapes and sizes vary depending on what race the are imitating (are). They still bleed blue instead of red but their skin can scar, bruise or have blemishes (acne etc.)

 

Durability

 

Ageless if taken care of correctly.

1 gen- Battery lasts only up to ten years. Memory disk up to 15. First gen 1s started appearing in the early 70s which means that whoever is making them has never been stopped or that they all have maintenance regularly.

2 gen- Battery lasts up to 50 years. Memory disk up to 2 due to being able to recover fully with precise recreation. They started appearing in the early 120s

3 gen- Unknown.

Nobody knows where androids come from. They seemingly pop up all across the wasteland withouth any prompt. Even the ones that have been destoyed in battle are recovered. Whoever is in charge of them doesnt want anyone to know.

2nd gen Names: John, Stela, Peter, Agnes, Barney,

3rd gen Names: Any name, sometimes even chosen names

Obedience

Some androids have became so called deviants. Denying orders and supposedly gaining consciousness. You are one of them. Your memory is wiped of any information that was important as soon as you denied the first order

Android Traits

Sharp eyes

Your robotic eyes allow you to light up the room/be used as a flashlight, change color, and most importantly you have darkvision and zoom. Darkvision is up to 30 feet (black/white) and zoom is up to 60 feet. 

Ability Score Increase

Your Intelligence score increases by 2 and your strenght by 1.

Age

Ageless. They live until their system is so damaged that they cease. Although gen 1s started appearing in the year 77 and gen 2s in the year 135, its unknown when exactly gen 3 was made and even if they exist.

Maintenance

Upon hitting 0 HP you deactivate and can only be brought back to consciousness by a button on the back of your head. Then you may be healed.

Unmovable

Thanks to your construction you are not subjected to stupid human things like tiredness or hunger. But if you want to pretend to be a human remember to fake them...Instead of sleep you reboot. 8 or 4 hours daily. This allows you to rest and have a clear mind of any effects.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Elvish. Elvish is fluid, with subtle intonations and intricate grammar. Elven literature is rich and varied, and their songs and poems are famous among other races. Many bards learn their language so they can add Elvish ballads to their repertoires.
