The user performs a diabolical rite in which they use a mixture of their own blood, the blood of another and red wine to create symbolic pentacles and terrible glyphs upon the ground. The caster loses 1 Hit Die worth of HP, treated as though rolled at the maximum result (i.e. A wizard would lose 6 HP, having a hit die of d6) until the creature takes a long rest, which ends the spells' effect. Should this spell reduce a caster to 0 HP, that caster dies, and cannot be revived by any means whatsoever, save divine intervention or a Wish spell, as their soul is torn from their body and trapped in the Ethereal realm, unable to cross over to the afterlife.
The caster may choose to spend more hit die on this ritual, given they have the health to survive the attempt.
Until such time the caster is afforded a mighty boon in exchange for the blood given to the ritual. They gain 1 charge of this spell for every hit die spent, and may use these charges to treat any roll of a d20 as though it had rolled critically.
Cautionary Note: Should this spell drain you of all the blood of which you are possessed, there is no healing, and no mercy to be found for your soul.

Posted Jun 13, 2020"Mighty boon" is beyond ambiguous. Even Wish specifically lists it's limitations. For a system that is as structured as 5e, this doesn't really fit.
