Binding Contract

You create a binding agreement that lasts for the duration.

In as precise a wording as you can muster, but not exceeding a total of 25 words in length, you may cause a willing creature to be bound by the words of this spell. When a creature enters into this agreement, a mark appears around its wrist (or similar body part) to mark it as having agreed to the terms of the contract. While a creature is bound by this magic, it always knows what the terms of the agreement are.

If both creatures that are bound to the agreement are in agreement to have the contract broken, or if the terms of the agreement are fulfilled within a specified time frame, then the spell ends without any adverse effects.

If a creature willingly breaks the agreement (be it the words or the spirit of said agreement), said creature takes 5d12 Psychic damage that cannot be reduced by any means, and gains 2 levels of exhaustion. Once the agreement is broken, the spell ends.

At Higher Levels. When this spell is cast using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, increase both the Psychic damage by 1d6 and level of exhaustion by 1 per level of spell slot above 6th.
