Crackling arcane energy forms a whip made of pure lightning in your hands. The whip lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with a reach of 15ft and which you are proficient with. It deals 3d8 lightning damage on a hit. Each creature between you and the target (including the target) must make a dexterity saving throw as bolts of lightning strike the path, each creature takes 2d6 lightning damage or half as much on a successful save.
