You conjure three strips of the astral sea itself which take the shape of ribbons 4 inches wide and 15 feet long.
These ribbons are dark as void with small stars and nebulas sprinkled throughout.
You may command each of these Ribbons to either lash or bind independently or as a group as a bonus action on each of your turns.
Lash: Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the flat side of the ribbon rakes across the target, dealing 2d6 force damage.
Bind: The Ribbon wraps around the target, on a failed saving throw, the target is grappled, and takes 1d6 force damage. If two or more Ribbons are binding a single target, the target is considered "Restrained". Each Ribbon after the second strengthens the bind and makes it harder to escape, adding +2 to your spell save dc for each additional Ribbon after the second. A target may make an attempt to break free as an action during their turn.
At Higher Levels: For each spell slot above second level, you conjure an additional ribbon.
