This spell captures all incoming damage of a level 4 and below spell allowing the user to recast this spell on their next turn as an action. This spell has no effect on spells that target an area of effect or cantrips but can work on spells outside of the casters class. (eg if a warlock hits a cleric with Vampiric Touch at 3rd level that cleric can recast Vampiric Touch at 3rd level. But if that same Warlock casts Fear the cleric can not absorb it as it affects more than just the cleric.)

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the spell level you can absorb increases by 1.
