The first part of this spell is casted with a level 1 spell slot. This is the attunement part of the spell. You engrave a symbol into the face of a door and cast this spell over it with the intent of attuning to it. You may not attune to another door door without overwriting this attunement. This part of the spell has no duration and lasts until the caster chooses to cancel the attunement, another door is attuned to in this method, or the caster dies.
The second part of this spell is casted with a level 2 spell slot. This is by carving the exact same symbol in the exact same spot on the face of the door and casting the spell with the intent of connecting the two doors. Space is folded so that the user may go through the doorway so that the door itself has markings on both side and there is a seamless transition between the two locations. The original casting of this spell allows 2 creatures to pass in and out of the magical threshold as long as the spell is maintained. The caster may spend another level 2 spell slot on the spell at any point during its duration to allow 2 more creatures to pass through. Creatures that try to pass through the doorway without the proper spell slots being used will pass through the image of the magical doorway into the physical room behind the doorway. Opening and closing the door does not effect the spell in any way. This casting will fail if the original door has the engraving removed or damaged, or the original door is destroyed. The spell will also abruptly end if either door is destroyed during its duration.
