A translucent quill visible only to you appears in a space within range. While the spell is active, any words spoken in any language within 5ft of the quill is automatically transcribed into a previously designated book or sheet of parchment on your person. The handwriting on the paper matches that of the spellcaster, and when the spell ends the writing becomes non-magical.
Upon casting you can designate what language the text appears in. If the original speech is in a language you do not understand it is instead written phonetically in common.
The effect lasts until dispelled, or until the designated book/parchment runs out of space.
