You conjure a cacophony of voices speaking out of sync in all manner of tones and voices in a 20-foot cube centered on a point within range. Each creature that starts a turn or enters the area within that cube is deafened until the end of the current turn and has disadvantage on saving throws to maintain concentration. In addition, each creature that starts its turn within the area or enters it for the first time on a turn must make a Wisdom saving throw. A creature takes 4d6 psychic damage and its speed is halved until the end of the current turn on a failed save. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half as much damage and doesn’t have its speed halved.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for every two slot levels above 2nd.
