Upon casting this spell, a bolt of lighting 5 feet wide fires from the caster to the target area. All hostile creatures in the target area immediately take 10+5d12 points of lightning damage. The caster must be able to see the target or be familiar with its location. When this spell is cast, all attacks and spell effect damages on hostile targets, are treated as a critical hit and the dice are doubled within a 30-foot sphere. The spell ignores resistances, but innate immunities become resistant. Creatures in the target area must make a Dexterity saving throw at disadvantage. A successful saving reduces the damage to normal. For each level above 7th, the spell duration increases by one minute, the area of effect increases by 10 feet, and the lightning damage increases by 2d12.
