You attempt to bind a spirit to an object. Choose an incapacitated fey, fiend, celestial, elemental, or aberration with a challenge rating of 2 or less within range. That creature’s essence is bound into the object used in the casting and its body is destroyed. The object is transformed into a magic item. The kind of magic item is under the DM’s discretion but should be based off of the type of creature bound into the item, the kind of item, and the bound creature’s abilities.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the maximum challenge rating of a creature that can be bound increases by 3 for each slot level above 1st. The casting time of the spell also increases by an hour for each slot level above first.
