You touch one object that is no larger than 5 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius. The area of the spell is prevented from being dim light or darkness by magical means, such as darkness. Additionally, the area of the spell is prevented from being lightly obscured or heavily obscured by fog, mist, smoke, or a similar effect, whether magical or non-magical.
When any of this spell's area overlaps with a spell that creates magical darkness or fog, such as darkness or fog cloud, the spell that created such an effect is not dispelled, as with daylight; rather, this spell negates such an effect only within the spell's area.
The spell prevents the effect of such spells up to and equal to the level at which it was cast.
The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque blocks the light. You can increase or decrease the radius of the light as a bonus action. The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action.
If you target an object held or worn by a hostile creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the spell.
