On a miss, roll a d4, and an area five feet away becomes difficult terrain until the end of your next turn, 1 for north, 2 for west, 3 for south, and 4 for east.
The spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
