You draw upon winter's might; a protective dome of tightly packed ice rises up around you (and those in the squares adjecent to you); this shield can be up to 15ft in diameter (centred on yourself), 15ft high and 3" thick. It can encase multiple beings alongside the caster. The spell absorbs 35 + 1d10 hitpoints of damage those within would've taken (triggering attack, spell or effect included) and will shatter when its hitpoints fall down to 0. If not destroyed it will last until the end of the next round. A line spell or effect wil be stopped in its tracks upon hitting the shield if it absorbs all the damage. This shield is stationary and does not move with the caster, you can move around within its boundaries though and use actions on the next turn if it hasn't been destroyed yet.
Those within the shield gain: cover, resistance to fire damage and further reduction of saving roll damage from an effect to none if succesful and half when it isn't.
This shield is vulnerable to fire damage; construct traits apply.
Higher level scaling: roll an aditional 1d10 for every subsequent level since spell level 5.
* - which you take when you or an ally in an adjacent square are hit by an attack, make a saving throw against a spell or effect and would take damage, or when targeted by the magic missile spell. ** - (Ice and snow)
Feedback would be welcome as I'm not quite certain yet if I like it.
