Additionally, the spell creates a 5-foot wide line of green flame between you and your target. The line lasts until the beginning of your next turn, and any creature that moves through the line or ends its turn on it, must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 fire damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th-level or higher, the initial fire damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 3rd.
