Arcing Spear

You brandish the weapon used in the spell’s casting and make a ranged attack with it against one creature within the weapon's throwing range. On a hit, the weapon deals its normal damage. Whether your attack hit or missed the weapon immediately returns to your hand.

At 5th level, the ranged attack deals 1d8 lightning damage to the target on a hit. This damage roll increase by 1d8 at 11th level (2d8) and again at 17th level (3d8).
