Uttering a dark incantation, you summon a yugoloth from Gehenna. You choose the yugoloth's type; a merrenoloth or a mezzoloth. The yugoloth appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. The yugoloth disappears when it drops to 0 hit points.
When the yugoloth appears, it is under no compulsion to behave in any particular way. You can ask the yugoloth to perform a service in exchange for payment, but it isn't obliged to do so. The requested task could range from simple (help us fight a battle) to complex (guide our ship safely to our destination). You must be able to communicate with the yugoloth to bargain for its services.
As a rule of thumb, a yugoloth requests a daily payment equal to 100 times its challenge rating in gold pieces. Most yugoloths only enter into contracts if their services are needed for ten days or more, but if you need only a single task completed, the yugoloth will bill for a full day. Many yugoloths demand half payment up front, with the other half due upon completion of the task. The GM can adjust these payments based on the circumstances under which you cast the spell.
After the yugoloth completes the task, or when the agreed-upon duration of service expires, the yugoloth returns to its home plane after reporting back to you, if appropriate to the task and if possible. If you are unable to agree on a price for the yugoloth's service, the creature immediately returns to its home plane. If you form a contract but are unable to pay the agreed-upon price, the yougoloth becomes hostile to you and will try to kill or enslave you.
A yugoloth enlisted to join your group counts as a member of it, receiving a full share of experience points awarded.
