By casting this spell you alter the course of time itself, reaching back to a significant point in your life and changing it to cause your current life to match that which you changed.
When you cast this spell you must choose a point in time that is significant to your life and channel your arcane energy into it using this spell as a focus. After choosing and focusing on this point the moment plays out before you in your mind, after which you are able to choose which part of the event changes. How you change the event is ultimately up to your DM but by default you can remove a person from the event, change the outcome of the event, or cause the event to never happen. The material components of this spell are only consumed when you commit to changing the event in the way you see fit. Casting this spell causes great physical strain on yourself causing you to take 5 points of exhaustion and one of the effects decided by rolling a d100:
1-33: Your body ages biologically to the point where you have 5 years of life left, though it physically does not resemble this. This results in you having disadvantage on all Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution checks, and your hit point maximum is halved. This effect lasts for 2d4 days.
34-66: Your vision is permanently damaged. You lose all dark vision if you have it, and receive a permanent disadvantage to all Wisdom ( perception) and Intelligence ( investigation) checks. This effect can be treated by things such as healing magic or items like spectacles, though to recover in any way takes a very long time
67-100: Your body has been ravaged by this spell and can no longer cast alter time. this effect cannot be reversed or healed by any means magical or mortal.
