Ever sighed at the thought of letting wild creatures get close to you? Tired of your allies trying to turn tail and leave you on the unsavory situation of having to apologize to that big bad evil guy that almost burned them to death? Annoyed at them pesky rats and their gold always escaping your grasp? We have the solution to all of those troubles!

You make a ranged spell attack roll towards a target within range, as you throw a hail of  towards them. On a hit, you deal 4d6 psychic damage. Regardless of whether you hit or not, all creatures in a 20 ft. radius sphere centred on the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, they become unable to move out from the area of the spell. A creature can repeat the saving throw on the end of their turn.

At Higher Levels:

When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
