A creature can cast this spell on a willing target it can see within range, and for the duration or until concentration is broken large white words appear floating in the air in between the target and the caster. An unwilling target must succeed on a Wisdom Saving Throw or have their speech translated in front of them. One set of floating script translates the target's spoken words into a language the caster can understand and another set translates the caster's words into a language the target can understand. The words appear floating 2 feet off the ground and manifest several inches in depth. A string of translations can extend up to 20 feet in length and lasts for 10 seconds after translating either the target or caster's speech.
The translated words are corporeal and have a physical presence, meaning they can interact with the environment around them. If this spell is cast in a small room less than 20 feet across, the translation continues on a new line beneath the first. Translations can be physically moved like a physical object, but when released after moving, the translation remains floating 2 feet above the ground. A translation can be used in either a diplomatic sense to translate across language barriers or in a battle sense as an improvised weapon. In the same way, Conjure Translation can be used in a utilitarian manner to block passages, form a ladder or however else the caster imagines. Translations can carry a weight of 200 pounds before they begin to sag and fall to the ground.
