When this spell is cast, you target one creature within 50 feet and visible to you, or yourself. When targeted, you now have a Barrier of Magic Absorption around you. While this Barrier of Magic Absorption is active, all spells targeting the target of this spell can be absorbed. To do this, divide the spell’s Spell Slot level by two, then add it to the Spell Slot’s level. The result is how much hit points are recovered. If the total exceeds the bearer of the Barrier of Magic Absorption’s hit point maximum, the remaining hit points become temporary hit points lasting the remaining duration of the spell.
