This spell enchants a quill to come to life. The quill will read any text within range as designated by the caster and copy it to another repository within range designated by the caster.
If the designated text or repository for said text is a book, the quill can and will turn the pages as needed to copy the designated amount to copy set by the caster.
If there are any highly detailed drawings in the designated text, they will be copied but possibly have details lost in the translation. This is decided by the DM, simple graphs and diagrams are copied with ease by the quill.
If the text designated for copying has a spell or spells within it, the quill will copy them, but the caster must supply the quill with enough material and gold value and time to fully copy the spell, otherwise the quill will skip over that aspect of the text. Also, while and if the quill is copying a spell, the caster is unable to copy a spell as well.
If the repository for the copy of the designated text runs out of space to copy the text verbatim, the spell ends early.
