In a display of both Alchemy and Necromancy you imbue up to eight bird corpses with undeath, placing a vial of flammable substance in the the chest. The birds has the statistics that they did in life and are considered undead for purposes of spells that affect undead creatures. In addition to their physical attacks they can also explode upon crashing into an object or creature. This action kills the bird and deals 1d6 fire damage in a 10ft sphere. This also renders the corpse and other components irretrievable.
Upon hitting 0 hit points, or upon the spell ending, the birds lose consciousness and fall to the ground exploding when they land. The creatures are friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned creatures as a group, which have their own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.
When you cast this spell using certain higher-level spell slots, more creatures can be ressurected: twice as many with a 6th-level slot, and four times as many with a 9th-level slot.
If you are proficient with Alchemist's tools the casting time is 10 minutes.
