Before casting this spell for the first time you must spend 4 hours creating a signature using fine parchment and inks worth at least 10 GP (or in your spell book). The nature of this signature is up to you, but it must fit in a 1 foot square. The signature is then bound to you.
When you cast this spell, your signature appears on the object or creature you touch. The signature can be visible or invisible, and does not harm the material upon which it was placed. If an invisible signature is made, a detect magic spell causes it to glow and be visible. A dispel magic spell removes the signature. You may also dispel your signature at any time by touching the affected area.
You may have as many objects or creatures marked as you like, but you may have only one distinct signature at a time. However, if you acquire the signature parchment of another spellcaster, you may choose to place their signature on an object or creature instead of your own. You may also choose to spend 8 hours and another 10 GP worth of parchment and inks to change your signature. If you do, your old signature disappears from all affected objects or creatures.
If you cast the spell teleport, you may teleport to any object or creature marked with your signature as if you are very familiar with it.
