With your solemn chant your melodies dance across the constellations, slowing down their time in the sky. The day cycle on your plane of existence begins to shorten and nights begin to grow ever-long as your plane is gradually realigned away from the sun. Upon the first casting of this spell the daytime hours gradually shorten by 1 hour each day to a minimum of 4 hours a day. This causes plants within the plane to begin to die off slowly over the course of 12 months and the temperature around the plane to begin to drop exponentially to a minimum of -42 degrees Celsius. On a plane where the day and night cycle already last less than 4 hours or doesn't change this spell has no effect. When the spell ends the effect gradually dissipates over the course of a week until the day and night cycle return to normal. After casting the spell once a week for 12 months the spell effect becomes permanent and can only be undone by means of a wish spell or until dispelled by the caster.
