You ward a large or smaller object against the natural weathering of time. For the duration, the object, does not decay or weather by natural means, and is afforded some limited protection from vandalism and the forces of nature. The object gains an AC equal to your spellcasting modifier if it doesn’t already have an AC that’s higher, and 10 hp.
If the object is a corpse, it is perfectly preserved, but is not immune to the effects of other magic. If another spell, such as gentle repose or animate dead is cast upon the corpse, the spell of highest level takes effect or remains in effect, with the lesser spell immediately failing. If both spells are of the same level, the two spells cancel each other out. This spell is dispelled, and the new spell is lost without effect.
Casting the spell on the same object each day for one lunar month makes the spell permanent.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you may target one additional object for each spell slot above 3rd. spell Alternatively, if you cast the using a 4 level spell slot or higher, you may target an object one size larger for every two spell slot levels, ie. Huge at 4th level, gargantuan at 6th level.
