Comfort does nothing to change the physical well being of the target, but instead makes the target comfortable, masking many unpleasant sensations. They do not feel pain, hunger, weakness, or exhaustion during this time. However, this can be both valuable and dangerous. If the target of the spell is performing an activity that could cause them injury, they do not feel it due to the nature of the spell. They could easily starve, fall dead of exhaustion, or permanently injure themselves without knowing it. Once the spell has expired, all such sensations return with a rush. If the target is suffering any of the conditions noted above, they take 1d6 Psychic damage as they try to adjust to the discomfort. The target remains immune to any condition resulting from pain, hunger, weakness, or exhaustion, except the potential for damage noted above due to the lack of warning sensations. The target cannot necessarily end this spell themselves, but the caster can end it with an action.

At Higher Levels:

When this spell is cast using a second level spell slot or above, add 8 hours to the duration. At level 9, the duration becomes "a year and a day"
