You decode the techniques used to cast a spell and quickly develop highly specific, automated countermeasures against them. When another spell affects some creatures within range, you can give those creatures immunity to subsequent casts of that spell by that SPECIFIC caster. If the spell has a continuous effect on the creatures that required a save, they can make a new save against the effect.

You may also make an Arcana check as part of the casting to grant that immunity to yourself plus a number of other creatures within range equal to your intelligence modifier. The check's DC equal to the caster's spell DC.

The immunity lasts until the original caster completes a long rest. Creatures do not have to be willing to receive immunity.
