Burial Rite

You perform a proper burial to a creature's remains within range. When you finish  casting this spell, you immidiately  know about the creature and the conditions of its death as it would have known at that moment: how long ago it died, how old it was, and the type of death it suffered (and, if applicable, the type of damage that killed it and the weapon that dealt it). Additionally, you know their next of kin (if they have one) as if ou had met them once.

Once the spell is cast, the creature can't become undead for the next 100 years.
